Choose Your Format

Ground Mushroom Coffee

A multi-origin blend of Brazilian and Colombian Arabica: Catuai, Mundo Novo, Caturra, Colombia, and Castillo varietals from the Cerrado, Huila, and Cauca growing regions. Medium roast with dark chocolate, toasted nut, and clean roast sweetness, and it brews any way you like: drip, pour-over, French press, AeroPress, espresso, or cold brew. 12 oz bag, about 34 cups. Shop Ground Mushroom Coffee.

Instant Mushroom Coffee

Single-origin Papua New Guinea Arabica, freeze-dried to keep its toasted almond and soft toffee character. No equipment, no brewing: add a teaspoon to hot water and stir. The easiest way to try mushroom coffee, and the format to pack for travel. 1.9 oz jar, about 18 servings. Shop Instant Mushroom Coffee.

The Two Mushrooms in Every Blend

Lion's Mane Mushroom Coffee

Every Mariko Grove blend is a Lion's Mane mushroom coffee: 500 mg per serving in the ground, 150 mg per serving in the instant, sourced from both mycelium and fruiting body. Curious what Lion's Mane actually is? Read our Lion's Mane guide.

Chaga Mushroom Coffee

Chaga rides alongside in the same ratio: 500 mg per serving in the ground, 150 mg in the instant. It is a mild, earthy mushroom that disappears into a roast rather than flavoring it. Read our Chaga guide, or see Our Mushrooms for how both are grown and extracted.

Why Mariko Grove

Frequently Asked Questions

Does mushroom coffee taste like mushrooms?

No. Lion's Mane and Chaga are mild, neutral mushrooms that blend into the coffee rather than standing out. Our ground tastes like dark chocolate and toasted nuts. Our instant tastes like toasted almond with a soft toffee finish. You are drinking good coffee; the mushrooms just round it out. Read the honest taste breakdown.

What is the difference between ground and instant?

Different coffee, same mushrooms. The ground is a multi-origin Brazilian and Colombian blend: fuller body, richer flavor, brewed like regular coffee. The instant is single-origin PNG Arabica: lighter body, ready in seconds. See the full ground vs instant comparison.

How much mushroom is in each serving?

Ground: 500 mg Lion's Mane and 500 mg Chaga per serving. Instant: 150 mg Lion's Mane and 150 mg Chaga per serving. Our blend ratio is 90% coffee, 5% Lion's Mane, 5% Chaga by weight, from both mycelium and fruiting body. Learn more about our mushrooms.

How much caffeine does mushroom coffee have?

Ours is comparable to a standard cup of coffee and varies by brewing method, because the blend stays 90% coffee by weight. Blends vary widely across the category, so check any brand's ratio.

Is it tested?

Every batch of our roasted coffee base is independently tested for heavy metals, mycotoxins, mold, and yeast. Certificates of analysis are available on our Lab Reports page.

How do I brew it?

Ground: 1 tbsp per 6-8 oz water in any brewing method. Instant: 1 tsp in 6-8 oz hot water, stir, done. Both work great iced or as a latte base. Full brewing guide here.
